MALDI Plate Cleaning Protocol

  1. Wash with methanol and wipe gently with a Kimwipe. DO NOT rub the surface - You may scratch the plate

  2. Wash with mQ dH2O and wipe gently with a Kimwipe

  3. Wash with 2-propanol

  4. Place the plate in a 100 ml glass beaker, cover with 2-propanol and sonicate for 10 minutes in an ultrasonic bath

  5. Wash with mQ dH2O

  6. Place the plate in a 100 ml glass beaker, cover with 30% acetonitrile with 0.1% Trifluoroacetic Acid (TFA) and sonicate for 10 minutes in an ultrasonic bath

  7. Wash with mQ dH2O

  8. Wash with methanol

  9. Let air dry
